Here is another ultra rare horological gem from our collection: an all original early 1920's A. Lange & Sohne 60mm diameter deck watch in silver case.
I have bought and sold a good number of Lange pocket watches during the past 20 years or so, but this is the first one I've had from this model in a large case like this. It is the predecessor of the WW2 B-Uhr with power reserve, in many aspects. I don't know how many of these silver case 60mm deck watches Lange produced, but it cannot be a great number, as I do not see any other on the market anywhere. This watch has been through a complete service by a European master watchmaker, and it will come with 6 months functional guarantee on the movement (accidental damages are excluded). In order to preserve originality and the character of a naval/military deck watch, I asked the watchmaker not to polish the case. There are natural signs of use and aging of the silver on the case, as shown in the pictures.
