Description

About Seiko:

In 1877, at the age of 18, Kintaro Hattori set up business repairing the Western-style clocks that were becoming increasingly popular in Japan. By 1892, Hattori was manufacturing his own clocks in a factory he called Seikosha, from the words "seiko" meaning "exquisite," "success," or "miniature," and "sha" meaning "house." The company grew and prospered, producing its first wristwatch in 1913 and launching the Seiko brand in 1924. Technological innovation has always been a driving force in the company's history. Key milestones include Seiko's introduction of the world's first quartz watch in 1969, and its successful launch, in 1988, of the Kinetic, the world's first battery-free watch with quartz accuracy. Recognized for its technological excellence, Seiko has provided timekeeping services for the Olympic Games and the World Cup Soccer Championships. Today, the Seiko brand continues to stand for state-of-the-art technology, as well as superior quality and refined design.

I AM A WATCH COLLECTOR AS WELL AS A BUYER & SELLER OF QUALITY PRE-OWNED, ANTIQUE, AND VINTAGE WATCHES.

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE DESCRIPTION IN FULL!

This fine timepiece is in "EXCELLENT" condition ...... I only sell fine authentic watches in excellent to minty condition.

PICTURES ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. SINCE CONDITION IS A MATTER OF OPINION, PLEASE CHECK PICTURES AND

DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSION AS TO CONDITION. ALL PICTURES ARE OF THE ACTUAL ITEM.

You will be pleasantly surprised, and receive many compliments, when wearing your watch!

SEIKO AUTOMATIC 7005-2000 GENTS WATCH ~ 1970's ~ STUNNING!

A large gents vintage watch with silver dial ~ applied hour markers ~ golden Dauphine hands ~ center sweep seconds ~ date at 3 ~ "SEIKO AUTOMATIC" at 12 ~ 17 Jewels at 6 ~ Jumbo case size 36mm diameter not counting crown ~ clean crystal ~ new high end 19mm black textured leather strap with pin buckle compliments the watch very well ~ stainless steel case back ~ clean automatic movement Calibre 7005A Japan 17 Jewels running strong & accurate.

"pristine" condition ~ clean scratch free crystal ~ automatic movement runs strong & accurate ~ normal surface scratches on case from normal use ~ no gold loss anywhere ~ no damage ~ all functions work properly ~ "stunning"

Note: To wind the watch, just shake it for about 20 seconds and wear it. The movement will stay wound throughout the day from the movement of your arm. This automatic movement was not designed to be wound by the crown. To set the date, pull the crown out to the first stop and turn the crown counter clockwise.
VINTAGE WATCHES ARE GENERATING MORE INTEREST OVER THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS SINCE COLLECTORS REALIZE AND APPRECIATE THEIR QUALITY. THE GOOD LOOKING VINTAGE ONES ARE BEING SNAPPED UP AND ADDED TO COLLECTIONS AND ARE BEING WORN. THESE VINTAGE WATCHES ARE A BARGAIN WHEN YOU CONSIDER THE COST OF PRODUCING A COMPARABLE WATCH WITH A HIGH GRADE MOVEMENT. THIS IS A VERY NICE EXAMPLE OF A VINTAGE SWISS WATCH WHICH WOULD MAKE AN INTERESTING EXAMPLE FOR ANY COLLECTION OR JUST BE FUN TO WEAR AS YOUR PERSONAL TIMEPIECE.

BECAUSE OLDER, VINTAGE, WRISTWATCHES WERE MADE SMALLER THAN WATCHES MADE TODAY, MEN OR WOMEN CAN WEAR THIS AND WOULD LOOK FABULOUS.

Vintage watches may gain or lose a small amount of time per day as they do not keep quartz accuracy. Also, because most vintage watches being offered are between 40-70 years old, small imperfections, scratches, and wear are to be expected.

A Word About Mechanical Watches: All mechanical watches, whether manual or automatic wind, will need periodic servicing simply due to the friction of its moving parts. Generally, I do not know the service history of pre-owned watches I sell unless I have had the watch serviced and noted in the listing. I time all watches for at least 24 hours prior to listing and 12 hours prior to shipment. If it doesn't maintain acceptable accuracy I don't list it or I won't ship it and the buyer will receive a refund.

IT IS MY HOPE THAT ALL OF MY ITEMS WILL GO TO PEOPLE WHO WILL ENJOY THEM. I WILL GLADLY ACCEPT A RETURN AND/OR TAKE CARE OF A PROBLEM IF I MAKE A GROSS ERROR IN THE DESCRIPTION. IF I HAVE MADE NO GROSS ERRORS, THE ITEM IS A FINAL SALE. THIS IS MERELY DUE TO THE ITEMS BEING ANTIQUES, VINTAGE, OR PRE-OWNED.
