The 31mm diameter solid three-body oyster case, gently curved lugs, bracelet, and fixed 18K white gold fluted bezel, are polished. It has an extremely gorgeous natural White Mother-of-Pearl diamond dial. This dial features diamonds in 18kt white gold settings. Mother-of-pearl is by its nature full of mystery and surprises. Depending on its origin, it can be pink, white, black or yellow. It differs in color, intensity and structure according to the part of the shell from which it is extracted. At Rolex, particular know-how and skill are devoted to simply highlighting its natural beauty and preserving the original hues. As all mother-of-pearl dials are unique pieces, an identical dial will never be found on another wrist. It includes white gold baton hour and minute hands, and there is a gold center sweep seconds hand. There is a date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position underneath a Cyclops magnification lens. There is a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) rating. It has a 55-hour power reserve at full winding, it's waterproof to 100 meters/330 feet, and the 10mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 31mm 278274 has a mechanical automatic Rolex caliber 2236 movement. It's rhodium-plated, with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment, and it's constructed with 31 jewels, Syloxi hairspring in silicon with patented geometry, a high-performance Paraflex shock absorber system, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, and a quickset hacking seconds device for precision time setting. It includes a self-compensating frees-sprung Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, and the movement oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz).
