Description
The Sea-Dweller line of diving watches traces its origins back to 1967, the outcome of a US Navy, COMEX (Compagnie Maritime d’Expertises) and Rolex collaboration to produce a watch specifically for saturation diving. In the decades that followed the latter two maintained a solid partnership that pioneered sea exploration and accurate timekeeping.

This Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600 (Case Serial No. M367xxx) has a glossy “SWISS MADE” black dial that bears the “COMEX” logo, denoting that the watch has been delivered directly from Rolex to COMEX for its divers. The hands and markers are made of white gold and covered with Super-LumiNova luminescent material providing excellent legibility. The case and bracelet are made of 904L steel known for its anticorrosion properties. The case back is engraved with a unique number (35xx). The unidirectional rotating 60-minute bezel has a semi-matte insert made of aluminum. The watch is equipped with the in-house calibre 3135 and it is a certified chronometer by COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres). It is provided in New Old Stock condition - there are few almost imperceptible scratches on the case back due to previous mishandling - green box with wave design, outer cover box and white card box, booklets, toolkit with all its components, Certified Chronometer and Serial No. tags, plastic bezel protector, as well as EU/France COMEX (No. Client: 115, Ref. 116600GCOME) undated manufacturer’s warranty card.
