History :

Rolex bezel inserts are made of anodized aluminum. The colors are not “painted” on but applied galvanically in a similar process to gilt dials. Generally, the inserts have an inner diameter of ~30.2 mm, an outer diameter of ~37.75 mm, and are ~0.7 mm thick.

They should fit snugly into the bezel with a slight lip of bezel retained above it. Inserts do not change size over the production of the 1675.

Red & Blue: The standard Pan-Am or ‘Pepsi’ bezel inserts have only two attributes that are mandatory to be period correct for a 1675 – a red back.

Graduated metal bezel insert that is bitons, blue & red color.

Red keep very light faded red (with a beginning of pink touch) glossy look and dark blue is just lighty faded, go on warm and elegant maritime blue shades.

The tutone patina is very classic and fit on every wrist ! discret, elegant a nice beginning of patina.

Typograpgy is fat font with serifs visibles on numbers.

Caliber(s) : Automatic #3075 (gmt movement) and #1575 /1565 (aka #1570 gmt) from 60-70's.

Estimated years period: ~1971 to 1981


Outside diameter approx. : Ø37.75mm.

Inside diameter approx. Ø30.16mm.

Width approximately ~4mm.

Cosmetical condition : 92%, very nice, no marks, the patina is stunning...
