Luminox Bear Grylls Survival Chronograph CARBONOX Yellow Dial Black Rubber Strap Compass Date Divers Quartz Mens Watch Model# XB.3745 / XB3745 In partnership with Bear Grylls, the Survival collection watches are designed to help you survive and never give up no matter the odds. This outdoor explorer watch features a 45 mm CARBONOX case with a vibrant yellow textured dial matched with black, skeletonized obelisk-style hands and black Arabic numerals in military time format. Tritium-based luminescent tubes called LLT illuminate the watch thru its hands and hour markers as well as the bezel tip. This is complemented by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, a uni-directional rotating CARBONOX bezel with a 60-minute scale and tachymeter, and a date window at the 6 o'clock position. Touches of white and orange contrast are evident via the dial and bezel markings, main and subdial hands, text details around the chapter ring, crown, compass, compass points, and the Bear Grylls logo between the 4 and 5 o'clock positions. The three subdials feature a 60-second, a 12-hour, and a 30-minute counter. A black genuine rubber strap with compass attachment secured by a stainless steel signed buckle completes the tough and sporty look. This watch has a screw-in caseback inscribed with Bear Gryll's logo, signature, and "Never Give Up" motto wherein underneath lies the Ronda caliber 5030.D, a Swiss quartz chronograph movement and is water-resistant up to 300 meters/1000 feet.Like all of our watches, this Luminox Bear Grylls Survival Chronograph CARBONOX Yellow Dial Black Rubber Strap Compass Date Divers Quartz Mens Watch is brand new and comes in its original packaging.Founded in 1989 by American Barry Cohen who envisioned developing high-performance sports watches combined with modern luminescence and legibility. Coined from the Latin words, "Lumi" meaning light, and "Nox" meaning night, Luminox watches are widely recognized for their tagline "Always Visible Technology" which is formally called "Luminox Light Technology" or "LLT". It uses safe tritium-based luminescence tubes which can give a constant glow for up to 25 years. 1992 was the breakout year for Luminox as the Assistant Officer in Charge (AOIC) for Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) for West Coast Navy Seals, Nick North, together with Barry Cohen, worked to develop a watch specifically for the Navy SEALs.
