-----
beautiful atmos Elysée, Jaeger LeCoultre, caliber 544, gold plated

=========================
Caliber: 544
Year of manufacture: 1993
=========================

Description:

A rare opportunity to one of the most beautiful and rare atmos caliber: This caliber 544 - fully gold plated - is the first and so far only atmos caliber, which was offered at all with moon phase, temperature display and hygrometer. Only with this caliber 540ff, it was possible for Jaeger LeCoultre to display a moon phase at all. With the predecessor calibers, an additional gear would have been necessary, which would have consumed too much energy - for the low-energy running - of the atmos. With this caliber 544, the problem - combined with the mainspring barrel case - was ingeniously solved. And additionally, the temperature and humidity display was inserted into the dial.

This particular clock here was built in 1993.

The watch includes
_the setting pin for setting the moon phase
a printout for setting the moon phase
_and additionally, as an extra, a copy of the Lebet book "Living on air - the story of the atmos pendulum clock".

The xxl pictures show the watch in every detail.

The watch has the shimmering clear case and visible gold plated mechanism. The dial with minute division/minuterie and the moon phase are flawless, the stylized Breguet hands are in deep blue.

A beautiful watch, rare to find.

The dimensions are 200 mm x 155 mm x 225 mm - (this caliber case 540ff is identical in dimensions to the successor caliber 560).

Functions:

Hour, minute and "perpetual" moon phase indicator, temperature display, hygrometer.
The moon phase is displayed on this atmos with unsurpassed precision: While traditional timepieces show one day deviation in a period of 122
years, this is the case with the atmos pendulum clock only every 3821 years, according to the description by jlc. Well, that's something for "optimists" and we probably won't see it again.

Adjustment/fine adjustment:

This precision watch is finely and accurately adjusted by the adjustment lever at the top. The hands are accessed by pressing down on the immaculate front door on the small gold jlc pusher and gently lifting out towards the front/top. The moon phase is adjusted by the associated setting pin.

Revision / Service new:

I have the watch:
_completely disassembled and overhauled
checked the pressure box, it works fine and is marked 02.03.1993, probably the period of the assembly of the watch
_the movement very carefully overhauled, cleaned and reassembled
_the watch completely re-adjusted or re-timed
_all glass panes polished. The front door is flawless.

This atmos is like new, it runs excellent with 540 degree pendulum rotation and accurate.

Shipping/Transportation/Pickup:

For shipping I can double and securely pack the watch, I prefer - after consultation with you - a value shipper. But you are also welcome to pick up the good piece. Also I enclose a description that will help you to put this atmos watch caliber 544 back into operation in the correct way at its new location. This will also definitely help you with the overall handling of this watch. Additionally, with this watch, I am including a copy of the book you are looking for, "Living on Air" by Jean Lebet.
