The IW323601 Ingenieur Chronograph follows this esteemed lineage but interprets it for the new century, if not beyond. Conceived by the legendary designer Gerald Genta, its visually striking aesthetics set it apart, reflecting Genta's geometric design language that has been so influential to contemporary Haute horology. In line with IWC's high standards, the IW323601 is a meticulously crafted and versatile timepiece, showcasing remarkable attention to detail. The black dial, with its almost industrial texture, is adorned with broad hands and applied indices, whose polished finish contrasts the hairline-finished 46 mm case, harmonizing the overall design. The crown is shielded by a pair of protruding crown protectors, which is a notable change compared to earlier iterations of the Ingenieur.

This release is dedicated to David Rothschild, who sailed from San Fransisco, California to Sydney, Australia on Plastiki - a boat he and his team made entirely from recycled plastic.
