Lot Essay: IWC introduced the sand-coloured ceramic Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN "Mojave Desert" in 2021. The colour scheme was inspired by the dramatic landscape of the Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake in the Mojave Desert, California. For the uninitiated, this is the home to the U.S. Navy's famous TOP GUN flight school. In 2021, the brand added two more models to the mix including the iconic Big Pilot edition in an imposing 46 mm wide case. According to the brand, the Big Pilot reference was made in a limited edition of just 250 pieces. The present timepiece is offered in excellent condition with its full set of accessories. |
