Audemars decided it would be cool to make the watch from many of the same materials used in Formula 1 cars, and the watch is made from the ultra unique rose gold and carbon fiber. Sapphire crystals front and back. Famous Royal Oak Offshore octagonal bezel is carbon fiber with exposed, structural hexagonal screws. The unique design draws on the world of motor racing to create a subtle blend of F1 finesse and fine watchmaking, featuring a bezel adorned with eight screws reminiscent of engine screws, a bezel comprised of carbon fiber and rose strap attachments in the shape of pedals, a crown akin to a gear cog and pushpieces in the form of an air extractor. This is definitely not your average AP Royal Oak; it is not even just a watch. The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Montoya is a statement; a testament to Audemars Piguet's heritage, a reflection of AP's confidence in its leadership position in the industry, and a glimpse at the future, all in one spectacular wristwatch. Movement is the automatic winding Audemars Piguet Caliber 2226 with 54 jewels and adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and in 5 positions.
