Military Watches

As the name suggests, the military watches were designed for the armed forces for military use. Initially the military watches were designed to carry the naval expeditions but gradually with the changing phase of time, the timepieces were developed for aviators as well. The aviator military watches saw their dawn during WWII when they carried highly synchronized technical features.

Advanced Technology glimpses in Military Watches

The most unique feature of the military watches was the size of the watches which were huge in diameter size compared to other wrist watches. Most of the military and navigation timepieces had the seconds’ feature which was considered an important part of the technology.
During WWII, the German army looked for huge dials in the military watches and was as large as 55mm. Later, the antimagnetic protection was also developed to secure the chronometers.
