We are proud to present this stylish example of the Zenith El Primero Revival `Lupin the Third` 2nd Edition Limited Edition watch for sale.
Lupin III is one of the most popular characters in Japanese manga folklore. Lupin III was first serialised in Weekly Manga Action magazine in August 1967. A huge success and one of Japan’s longest-living franchises, Lupin III has evolved from print to a TV series, from films to video games and from live-action films to television specials and even a musical!
Just like the El Primero A384 Revival watch of 2019 the watch has been reproduced with exacting detail thanks to the process of ‘reverse engineering’, this second Zenith Chronomaster Revival “Lupin the Third” model is a faithful recreation of the 1969 model with a colour palette inspired by Daisuke Jigen’s watch.
It comes set in a 37mm stainless steel angled case with ‘vintage-inspired’ brushed bezel. The dial is the iconic “panda” colouring with a white base and contrasting black sub-dials at 3/6/9 o’clock. The watch has a printed tachymetre chapter ring, applied silver/luminous block hour markers and matching hands. The date feature is a contrasting black colour and is found between 4/5 o’clock, whilst the dial is protected by a raised sapphire crystal glass (similar in shape to the old acrylic plexi-glass of old). The watch is powered by the iconic El Primero automatic chronograph mechanism and is visible through an exhibition caseback. It is fitted on the re-engineered ‘ladder-style’ bracelet with a folding clasp.
Originally purchased in November 2020 and in mint condition, this Zenith comes with its original inner and outer boxes, swing tag, cleaning cloth, instruction booklet and international warranty card. This watch is under Zenith warranty until November 2022 and is a limited edition piece as only 200 will ever be produced.
