Vacheron Constantin Overseas Ultra-Thin Perpetual Calendar 18kt Rose Gold with Moonphase. Silver main dial with a fine sunburst finish. Slightly recessed silver sub-dials with a very fine concentric circular pattern finish. The moon phase disc is unusual: while the moon is represented by the usual gold disc, the gilded dots for the stars are actually constellations. Vacheron Constantin in-house Caliber 1120 QP/1 beats at 19,800 vph (2.75 Hz) and composed out of 276 parts and contains 36 jewels. Besides the free-sprung, adjustable mass balance wheel and other unseen technical upgrades, it also features the Poincon de Geneve, or Geneva Seal. That means the movement meets both the decorative and functional criteria dictated by the hallmark. Visually the cal. 1120 inside the Overseas is dominated by the 22k gold compass rose rotor, a signature feature of all Overseas watches. Though that takes centrestage, the movement is instantly recognisable as the cal. 1120 thanks to the characteristic beryllium ring sitting on ruby rollers that supports the rotor. Perpetual Calendar features: Day of the week sub-dial located at the 9 o'clock position. Date sub-dial located at the 3 o'clock position. Month sub-dial located at the 2 o'clock position. The month indications is divided into a 4 year cycle with the 4th year being a leap year, accurately accounting for the shorter February month. Moonphase displayed at the 6 o'clock position. Fitted on a Dark Blue Mississippiensis Alligator Leather Strap with an Interchangable Blue Rubber Strap. (It is exceptionally refined in profile – the case is 41.5mm in diameter, but just 8.10mm high.)
