Vacheron Constantin. A Rare 18ct Yellow Gold Keyless Lever Open Face Quarter Repeater Pocket watch C1900.

Dial: The white enamel dial signed Vacheron Constantin Geneve with Breguet numerals, with unusual outer minute track with red twenty four hour markers and subsidiary seconds dial at six o'clock. The original gilt metal Louis XV style hands with a gilt metal seconds hand.

Case: The 18ct yellow gold case with engraved coat of arms on the back cover. The repeater slide at the side of the case. The inner case back is fully signed Vacheron & Constantin with an inscription dated September 1903. All the cases are Swiss hallmarked, numbered and bear the Maltese cross.

Movement: The superb gilt finished, highly jewelled movement with fast slow regulation, Breguet overcoil hairspring and compensated balance. The hammers and gongs are visible striking the hours and quarters clearly. The movement is signed and numbered.

This is a very fine example of Vacheron Constantin's excellent craftsmanship in making such a fine quarter repeating pocket watch. It would make an excellent addition to one's collection. The timepiece comes with an Extract from the Archives from Vacheron Constantin, confirming the year of manufacture as 1902.
