Description |
Additional Information: Previously owned Ulysse Nardin Blue Mystery Tourbillon, Model # 799-90. Platinum 43mm case. Sapphire crystal glass front and back. Skeleton dial with diamonds and sapphires. Crocodile leather strap with platinum deploy buckle. Hours, minutes and tourbillon display. Platinum bezel. Manual wind movement, UN Caliber UN-79, 16 jewels. Power reserve over 100 hours. Water resistant up to 30 meters / 100 feet. This watch earns it “Royal Blue” name from the blue colored sapphire-crystals used as the main-plate and bridges of the movement. The “Mystery” in the name refers to Tourbillon cage, which seemingly floats in place without any frontal support. In addition the 16 jewels are colored blue. Another amazing feat is the seemingly invisible winding system, when winding the watch a mysterious force seems to be setting the cogs and wheels in motion. This is accomplished through a large circular rack hidden beneath the bezel. Inner bezel set with 48 round diamond minute markers (weighing approximately 0.66 carats) and12 round sapphire 5 minute markers (weighing approximately 0.16 carats). Tourbillon – the watch compensates for differences in rate caused by a watch adopting different positions. The principle is to mount the balance and escapement in a rotating cage. The balance and escapement rotate around their common axis going through all positions to average out the errors. This watch is in mint condition, unfortunately we did not obtained original box or papers for this watch. It comes in our generic presentation watch box and 2 year Pacific Bay Watch, Inc warranty.
