Tissot began building the Navigator model in 1953, initially with a world time display. In the 1970s, the Swiss manufacturer intensified its sports sponsorship and supported Formula 1 racing drivers such as Jacky Ickx, Clay Regazzoni and Mario Andretti. The adjustments made to the Navigator are reflected in this world-class sporty chronograph version.

This Tissot is in a very nice condition and shows no signs of use. There are no deep scratches, dents or similar, the glass is scratch free. Please use the high resolution pictures for reference.

Technically, this chronograph works perfectly and is newly overhauled by our watchmaker.

story of the brand

tissot was founded in 1853 as the watchmaking atelier Ch. Félicien Tissot & Fils by Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Emile Tissotom in Switzerland. Today, Tissot belongs to the Swiss Swatch Group.

Since 1915, Tissot has manufactured wristwatches in the luxury segment and since the 1920s with its own movements. Very quickly, the international expansion was successfully pushed and new markets were conquered with the high-quality Swiss products. Due to the collapsing sales markets in Russia, Tissot sought a merger with Omega in 1930 to form the 'Societe Suisse pour l'Industrie Horlogere'. After successful decades, the quartz crisis in the 1970s led to the founding of the Swatch Group in 1983, which still owns the company and brand today.

Today, Tissot is one of the most traditional and internationally renowned Swiss manufacturers of high-quality and luxury watches and is a big player in the Swiss watch industry worldwide.
