Description

An extremely rare stainless steel Comex Non-Date Submariner wristwatch by Rolex. Featuring an original Pre-Comex matte black dial with applied hour markers and a stainless steel bi-directional rotating bezel with a black bezel insert.

Equipped with a stainless steel Oyster bracelet and a steel Oysterlock deployant clasp. The watch is also fitted with a plastic glass, a self-winding automatic movement and an engraved caseback which features a 'Rolex Comex' engraving.

This watch was only produced for the Comex Diving Company and was not available for purchase by the general public. Made in limited production, the 'Pre-Comex' dial was the initial dial used for the Comex 5514, until testing was completed and approved. It was from there that the 'Comex' branding was added to the dial.

This timepiece is in excellent condition, comes with a Rolex box and a photocopy of the Rolex Service Papers dated September 2013.
