Description |
The first-ever hermetically sealed case, the Oyster, made its debut in 1926, and it changed the watch industry for good. All these years later, it is still an integral part of the brand's line-up, and it still stands out as one of the most important horological innovations of all time.
The watch on offer here, the ref. 15210 Oyster Perpetual Date, is not among the most popular models to feature the emblematic sea-shell-inspired case, but - to our minds at least - it is one of the most memorable. Discreet yet distinctive, it combines the versatility of a tool watch with the elegance of a dress piece fit to adorn a more slender wrist. The satin-brushed 36 mm case is complemented by a white ceramic-like dial adorned with Roman numerals and slender baton hands and topped by a remarkable engine turned bezel, which, while not as recognizable as the flutted one, is every bit as cool. Inside, the time-proven in-house caliber 3135 is confidently ticking away. It was just thoroughly serviced by our in-house watchmaker and is keeping good time. Comes without any of its original boxes and papers and is outfitted with its original Oyster bracelet. Covered by a limited warranty of 1 year, starting on the date of purchase. |
