For sale is a pre-owned near mint condition 40mm stainless steel Rolex Explorer II. The 16570 has a random serial meaning the timepiece has a post 2011 production. The Explorer II is accompanied by an inner and outer Rolex box only, does not come with any paperwork. The Rolex features a brushed steel case which is accented by a fixed steel GMT bezel that is engraved with black enameled units. The Explorer II is mounted on a 78790A brushed steel Oyster bracelet, which is secured by a safety lock deployment clasp. The bracelet contains 12 full size links and sits loose on a 7.5-inch wrist. The Rolex features a black dial with applied 18 karat white gold surround luminous hour markers, polished white gold luminous hands, and a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock. The movement used in the 16570 is the Rolex Caliber 3186, which features approximately 50 hours of power reserve. The case on the 16570 has been preserved extremely well, and contains thick even lugs, which are quite sharp. The bezel on the Explorer II has also been preserved extremely well and is extremely crisp. The Oyster bracelet contains virtually no stretch while the coronet on the clasp remains sharp and crisp. This specific Explorer II is somewhat of a unicorn, as it not only contains a rare 3186 movement, but is also a random serial. This means that it was likely one of the last reference 16570 Explorer II to leave Rolex's factory before it was replaced by the reference 216570. Overall, the Rolex is in near mint condition and is a clean crisp example of a rare random serial 3186 movement 16570 Explorer II.
