Description |
• Richard Mille RM65-01 Automatic Winding Split-seconds Chronograph RM65-01 •
The RM 65-01 marks two “firsts” for Richard Mille - the first self-winding split-seconds chronograph from the brand and the first serially produced watch with this complication. The lightweight carbon composite tonneau-shaped case measures 44.5mm X 50mm and 16mm high. Sounds like a fairly large timepiece, but thanks to its ergonomics with a curved case back and a rubber strap, it fits comfortably on any wrist. The case is made of carbon NTPT but that’s old news. It’s the dial, rather the movement, that does the talking here. The semi-skeletonised dial features color-coded indicators and hands for various functions such as the hours / minutes in yellow, the seconds hands with blue and orange tips, a red minutes track, green date aperture, the function selector in red, green and yellow and orange / yellow chronograph counters. Along with the chrono pushers, there’s a bright red “Rapid Winding” button on the case flank which winds the movement to full in 125 presses. The crown also does the job. On the inside is the Caliber RMAC4, a high-frequency movement developed by Vaucher running at 36,000 beats per hour with an integrated split-seconds chronograph. It also features RM’s variable-geometry rotor that adjusts its winding rate to the wearer’s activity. It is essentially a traditional movement with a column-wheel chronograph and a vertical clutch, with an industrial look, but finished intensely. One can admire the traditional hand polishing on the column wheel and screws, while appreciating its overall industrial appeal. This technical marvel is offered on a black rubber strap with the Richard Mille pin buckle. °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° Brand New Richard Mille RM65-01 Automatic Winding Split-seconds Chronograph comes with box, papers, certificate and a 5 year international warranty.
