Additional Details:

The present timepiece is a fully signed very rare 1950s Patek Philippe brilliant round cut Diamond set "tennis" style bracelet watch which is signed on the case, dial, movement, clasp and crown. The timepiece comes with all original matching stones and is in perfect condition with no damage to the dial and extremely sharp hallmarks throughout indicating very little to no wear by its original owner.

While there are several examples of Patek Philippe diamond timepieces to hit the market there are very few examples which are fully signed throughout. Patek Philippe has been known to also supply movements for other manufacturers to design cases with which are called contract cases and are typically considered less valuable as well as more common.
Timepieces which are fully signed by Patek Philippe including their case dial clasp and crown are considered much more rare examples when compared to a contract cased Patek Philippe given the firms involvement from start to finish as with the present example offered here today.

Patek Philippe has been famously known for their extremely high level of craftsmanship and also for their use of only the highest quality of available materials within their gemstone timepieces to match their reputable workmanship. Very few timepieces during the 1950s were produced by the firm for their female clientele which most famously is known for vintage men's timepieces and previously famous for their complicated pocket watches.

During Post world war two, women began to become more empowered and the timepiece manufacturers and jewelry houses recognized this new energy in society and began to focus more on the women's market as new clients. Specially ordered timepieces for important clients would be commissioned which would demand only the very best timepiece designs and materials. Most probably because of the scarcity which existed of platinum after the war, many firms also resorted back to the use of 18kt white gold to design jewelry and timepieces with since so much of platinum being depleted by the war as a means to still satisfy the orders needs.

The present example is from this period and has extremely high quality VS1, brilliant round cut stones totaling approximately 57 stones in total of beautiful brilliant white individually set stones. The entire bracelet is encrusted and shines with every motion as each stone reflects the light on the bracelet which is set in a manner to be articulated giving the overall bracelet a very silky, comfortable & sophisticated style when worn.
The bracelet is completely flexible similar to a tennis bracelet style and allows for almost all facets of the diamonds to be presented as each one is set individually in highly detailed articulated fashion by their own setting. A creation which would have taken a tremendous amount of workmanship by a master gem setter during this period.

Additional detail to the exterior profile of the case reveals that the handmade case is further designed with a sophisticated level of additional workmanship not seen on many other examples which houses the dial and movement and adds further decor to the already high fashion style of the timepiece with an almost "V - like" beveling.
