We are proud to present this luxurious Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot Travel Time watch for sale.
In 1884, the International Meridian Conference in Washington, D.C. established the system of standard time and the division of the globe into 24 time zones. And ever since, Patek Philippe’s engineers and watchmakers have been using their ingenuity to produce watches with multiple time zones that are both highly legible and easy to use.
Launched at BaselWorld 2015, the reference 5524 Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot Travel Time 5524 matches a pilot/military style to a complicated Patek calibre movement. Set in a polished 42mm solid 18ct white gold case with a smooth polished bezel and curved case lugs. On the sides of that case are the crown at 3 o’clock and two lockable pushers at 8 and 10 o’clock. All three are fluted for a slip-free grip. The two pushers are used for adjusting the second time-zone. The pusher at 8 o’clock moves the local hour hand forward one hour. While the pusher at 10 o’clock moves it back one hour. Both are equipped with Patek Philippe’s patented safety lock system. The dial is a rich navy blue with a varnished grain textured dial, applied luminous full Arabic numerals in the 1930’s Pilots style edged in white gold and blue steel hour and minute hands with a white skeleton ‘Home’ time hand. There are also two day/night apertures for home and local times as well as the sub-dial, which is a date indicator. Powered by the calibre 324 S C FUS automatic self-winding movement, which is fitted with a 21k rotor and is visible through an exhibition caseback. It comes fitted on a Patek brown calf leather strap with a white gold Clevis prong buckle.
Originally purchased in 2018 and in mint condition, this Calatrava comes with its original inner and outer boxes, leather wallet, instruction booklet and international warranty certificate.
