Officine Panerai has roots dating back to 1860 when the company was founded in Florence, Italy, by Giovanni Panerai. Panerai built its solid reputation on supplying precision timekeeping instruments to the Italian navy and developing waterproof watches for soldiers who found themselves in extreme environments. More recently, the company moved its headquarters to Neuchâtel, Switzerland, where they have been producing quality in-house manufacture movements.

Take your dive missions to the next level—literally—with this incredible Submersible timepiece by Panerai. Its trademarked Carbotech technology sees thin sheets of carbon fibers compressed at high pressures with Polyether Ether Ketone, which binds the composite material to deliver a phenomenally strong and durable case.

Additional attractive case features include a titanium case back, a marvelous 300 m / 30 atm water resistance, and a Carbotech winding crown protector—an iconic Panerai design feature if there ever was one. The healthily sized 47 mm case rests upon a black rubber strap with a prong buckle.

For optimum diving safety, the anticlockwise rotating Carbotech bezel sports a luminous blue starting dot and an engraved and luminous 15-minute scale.

In addition, the black-colored dial features luminous hour markers and partially skeletonized blackened steel hands for easy viewing in low light, as well as a date window at 3 and a small seconds counter at 9.

As a self-winding automatic timepiece driven by the Panerai P.9010 caliber, this watch beats at 28,800 vph, possesses 31 jewels, and delivers a terrific three-day power reserve.
