Gold plated barrel shaped case 40mm long (incl. lugs) x 35mm wide (excluding crown) with stainless steel back in good condition shows a few moderate nicks and scratches from wear. Omega logo crown shows plating loss. Inner case back marked "Omega Watch Co. Fond Acier Inoxydable Fab. Suisse Swiss Made E.B. CD 168.017". Outer case back impressed with Omega Constellation Observatory in gold.
Omega 564 automatic rotor 24 jewel movement with date function and date quickset. Date change is performed by pulling the stem out from the second stop position to the third stop position. Movement is in good condition, sets, runs and keeps time to within 60 seconds in all positions Pearl white original Omega dial in good condition with applied gold stick hour markers except applied date window at 3. Applied gold "Omega" and Omega logo under the 12 position with black painted "Automatic Chronometer Officially Certified" Omega logo under 12 position and above 6 marker is "Constellation" in painted script letters and under the letters is an applied gold star. Black painted minute tick marks. Gold tone dauphine hands and goldtone sweep seconds hand. New brown calf leather band with Omega logo gold plated buckle fits upto an 8.75 inch wrist. Notes: Vintage 1968 Omega Constellation 24 Jewel Calibre 564 Automatic date watch in good original condition with original dial keeping time and ready to wear. According to Omega expert Desmond Guilfoyle this Constellation was designed by the noted Watch Designer Gerald Genta. |
