1973 OMEGA Constellation Chronometer Rare Vintage Mens Cal. Automatic Watch - Stainless Steel
Gorgeous Restored Condition - Fully Omega - 1 Year Warranty Today's offering showcases this cool example of a rare vintage ref. 155.0013 Constellation. It is fully Omega and presents in spectacular restored condition. Our photos couldn't do it justice. It has a striking faceted angular case accented with soft lines around the beautiful Tiffany & Co. robin's egg blue color dial. Tonneau Constellations are one of the few that have a more rectangular dress watch appearance. Powering the watch is one of Omega's officially certified chronometer caliber 700 series movements, the thinnest automatic chronometer movement ever made by the company. The 700 series has a direct lineage to the celebrated 500 series, and is arguably as good, and collectors are beginning to recognize it accordingly. It was the last very fine movement series of its kind before Omega began to make budget cuts because of the quartz revolution. It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. The case presents as just short of perfect mint. The ends of the lugs have light aging. Otherwise it presents as gorgeous mint with perfect facets and lines. The dial has been meticulously custom refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. The original movement has been freshly fully overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. Photos of the inside available upon request. For the finishing touch we have installed a new leather band making it ready for immediate enjoyment. Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate. This rare watch's page on the Omega website can be found here. A nearly half-century old Omega that looks like new!
