We’re back to zoom in on a particular watch model. This time, it’s the NOMOS Tangente Neomatik 41 Update reference 180. “Update” refers to the fact that this Bauhaus watch has been equipped with a new movement: the in-house caliber DUW 6101 from 2018. What’s more, the case has also grown to 41 mm – a rather unusual size for the Tangente. However, it makes plenty of sense, as this size appeals to a wider audience and also creates enough space for a completely new type of date display. NOMOS wanted to maintain the Tangente’s balanced design, so they came up with a date ring along the edge of the dial that uses red dots to show the date. The quick-set feature allows the date to be changed back and forth, an uncommon function in this price class. As we’ve come to expect from NOMOS, the Update is a logical development marked by clever subtlety. For a more detailed look at the NOMOS Tangente Neomatik Update, check out our new video!
