Vintage Hamilton Railroad grade model 992 circa 1920 with beautiful condition stepped design case and pristine enamel Montgomery dial. Featuring a 16-S 52mm diameter original YGF Hamilton signed case with pronounced stepped design screw down bezel and matching unengraved caseback. With white enamel double sunk Montgomery dial with bold black enamel figures and red outer 5 minute indexes. With oversize blued steel spade hands and oversize sub seconds bit. The gold filled case features original hinged bow with ribbed pattern matching the design of the case, reeded winding crown, and screw down case back free of any personalized engraving.
The stem wind, lever set Hamilton 992 movement is in beautiful condition with decorated and bright finished plates has been recently serviced and is offered with our 1 year warrantee of accurate time keeping and operation. A great looking, super condition, vintage fine Railroad grade American made time piece.
Explanation of lever set: For those of you unfamiliar with Railroad grade pocket watches, stem wind, lever set refers to the safety mechanism of a small steel lever, exposed by unscrewing the bezel, which allows the movement to be set. Stem wound, as most watches, the lever set feature, prevents unintentional changing of the time, as could occur if the stem were to pull out, or loosen while being carried. This is a safety feature of all railroad grade watches.
