Glashütte Original PanoInverse

Inside Out
The PanoInverse is an intriguing variant in Glashütte Original’s Pano collection. Like its counterparts, the PanoInverse has a decentralized time display and a dial designed according to the Golden Ratio. Unlike the other Pano models, however, Glashütte Original has moved some of the components normally found on the back of the watch to the front, creating a unique look. These include the finely ground baseplate and balance, which features an engraved balance bridge and a duplex swan neck regulator.
The balance wheel and regulator stretches from 3 to 6 o'clock. Like other Pano models, the left side of the dial is dominated by the time display between 10 and 8 o'clock, which usually consists of a subdial for hours and minutes and a small seconds dial. Glashütte Original has also incorporated a power-reserve indicator at the 2 o'clock position.
At the heart of the watch is a Glashütte Original manual movement from the Caliber 66 family that beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph and has a power reserve of approximately 41 hours.
Depending on the variant, the PanoInverse comes with a stainless steel, rose gold, or platinum case. Glashütte Original uses scratch-resistant sapphire crystal on the front and back. Due to its relatively large diameter of 42 mm, the watch is also known as the PanoInverse XL. Officially, however, this name is no longer used by the manufacturer.
Glashütte Original fits the watch with a Louisiana alligator leather strap. Stainless steel models also offer a choice of steel link bracelets or several textile options.
Panoinverse Limited Editions
Glashütte Original regularly released special editions of the PanoInverse. These are strictly limited and are usually made of precious metals like gold or platinum. The movements are often partially skeletonized and elaborately engraved. From a technical point of view, however, these special models do not differ from the standard version.

Alternatives to the Glashütte Original PanoInverse
Like the inverse look of the PanoInverse, but prefer a watch with an automatic calendar? If so, the PanoMaticInverse may be the watch for you. These watches have the same inverted design, but differ from the PanoInverse in one important detail: Instead of a power reserve indicator, this model features Glashütte Original’s characteristic “Panorama Date” at 2 o'clock. The 42-mm PanoMaticInverse is powered by the in-house caliber 91-02 and comes in stainless steel, gold, or platinum.
There is also a variant of the PanoMaticInverse with a moon phase display, the PanoLunarInverse, which is limited to just 200 pieces. The moon phase display is prominently integrated into the subdial for hours and minutes.
Prices for Inverse models with automatic calibers range from 12,700 to 49,300 USD, depending on the version.
