Eterna is, without a doubt, among the most historically-significant watch brands still around today. Not only did it set the foundations for the most influential movement manufacturer, ETA, but it is also responsible for some of the most widely-used innovations in modern watchmaking. The brand's horological proficiency has gone all but unnoticed, with numerous military formations throughout history opting to utilize their watches. Eterna's most popular line, the KonTiki collection, owes its name to renowned Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl, who sailed 8,000 km across the Pacific Ocean - from South America to the Tuamotu Islands - in a hand-built raft he named after the Inca god Kon Tiki.

The Limited Edition model on offer here, the Super KonTiki Black, dates to 2015 and was released in a run of 888 pieces. As our photos will surely testify, it is one of the brand's most appealing models, owing in no small part to its black-on-yellow color palette and vintage-inspired geometry. The black PVD coating of the case suits the dark textured dial beautifully, while the yellow flourishes on the bezel, hands, and indices ensure optimal legibility in any setting.
Inside, protected by the solid caseback, the time-proven Sellita SW 200-1 is ticking confidently away.

Our offering is in mint condition, without any wear whatsoever, comes with its original box but, somewhat regrettably, without papers. It is outfitted with its OEM NATO strap.
