Although the pocket watch arrived at my home packaged well and on time, this vintage pocket watch runs slow - losing about 5 minutes every six hours. To me it seems that the seller did not test the watch for time accuracy before they shipped it. True, vintage pocket watches that are one hundred years old (give or take a few years) are not very good at keeping very accurate time, but almost all pocket watches from that era have a screw inside the back that can speed up or slow down the time keeping accuracy. If this seller had tested the watch beforehand, the seller would have known that the pocket watch needed to be speeded up a little bit. I'm no expert and I am reluctant to open the back of the pocket watch myself. But sellers of these pocket watches have (or should have) greater expertise than I have.
