Unfortunately, mistakes happen even with the largest manufacturers. The crown system was not damaged or impaired in functionality. The only thing that happened was that it unscrewed in the wrong place, where the thread is fixed with factory glue and should not be unscrewed by the user. The issue in question was solved in less than 5 minutes by our watchmaker. We apologised and offered repair support. However we were also supportive of the return.

Seller made a mistake in the description of the watch, it was acrylic and not sapphire (cost of a replacement from Sinn could be up to 300 euros according to my research). Anyway, the seller very readily realized he had made a mistake and offered to refund or give a small rebate. I very much appreciated their prompt honesty so I give him 5 stars for good service!

Dealing with Pavel was very easy and delivery was fast however I wasn't happy that the watch pictures had been brushed, removing numerous superficial scratches from the bracelet. Pictures should always be a true reflection of the watch you are buying & not be enhanced. I have agreed to keep the watch at a discount.

Thank you for the feedback - The photos are actual ones of the watch you get, but sometimes reflective surfaces are hard to photograph - thus we do try to describe everything as honestly as we should - here is excerpt from the description "Visually it is a worn piece - has some wear and hairpins here and there (nothing major), but has never been polished and this a good future option". La montre était bien emballée dans une pochette plastique impossible à ouvrir sans la déchirée, mais cette pochette était souple. Il peut donc y avoir un choc ou un écrasement sans que l’on puisse s’en rendre avant l’ouverture. Une montre de valeur (on est tout de même a un peu plus de 4000€) devrait être obligatoirement emballée dans un colis solide et rigide. Sinon la montre est en très bon état, mais ce n’est pas le cas de sa boite. Si le vendeur n’est pas responsable du fait que le premier propriétaire a esquinté la boite, il devrait le mentionner dans l’annonce. Pour un collectionneur le fait d’avoir le packaging complet et en bon état et très important. D’autre part je n’ai pas eu de facture. Je l’ai déjà réclamée 2 fois au vendeur mais je n’ai pas de réponse à ce sujet. J’ai acheté plusieurs montres sur Chrono 24 et il est fréquent que l’emballage soit insuffisamment protecteur. Il est également fréquent que les boites soient esquintées, ce qui n’est jamais mentionné dans les annonces. Ces deux problèmes étant récurrents il serait bon que Chrono24 apporte des solutions. Il doit être possible de modifier le règlement de façon à ce que les vendeurs indiquent obligatoirement l’état de la boite et fassent systématiquement les envois dans des emballages rigides avec des protections conséquentes à l’intérieur.

The shipping and communication with the dealer were very good. The watch looked perfect. However, the crown of Franck Muller's Vanguard modell fell off during the first try to change the date. It also didn't have a three-step functionality. I leave the conclusions to the reader! Had the crown not fell off, I would have realised that there was a problem with the watch too late to cancel the deal. The cancellation of the purchase and reimbursement of the money was handled by Watch24 perfectly!
