I never received this item, so it's hard to recommend the dealer based on my experience. Seller shipped the item to a Fedex center without communicating with me first. When I pointed out that this implied a big set of assumptions on their part, the communication became odd (their being in denial) and strained (me losing patience) and the dealer stopped communicating with me. The item sat at the hub until Fedex returned it automatically. I tried to communicate with Fedex, but have only so much time to sit on hold, and I couldn't discern any way to communicate directly with the hub location. All calls went to a central number. It's probably a great watch. If I were able to retrieve it, I bet I would have been happy. If the dealer had simply talked to me before shipping it, I'm confident we could have worked out a mutually beneficial arrangement. Unfortunately, they didn't do that and then proceeded to gaslight me to make me feel like I was somehow not normal, and thereby less than their other customers, which is not my idea of the way to treat a buyer. Their claims to me about Fedex/insurance requirements ring hollow as these were plainly not true, which has been confirmed to me by other jewelers I know who sell on Chrono24. Anyway, they have a good reputation which is why I was comfortable buying from them. They'd do better if they simply dropped the assumptions about their customers and took a minute to communicate how they work before they ship the product and get the thumbs up from the buyer in advance that it's fine to ship to an alternate shipping address (different from the one the buyer specified). Chrono24's customer service was wonderful throughout the process and my money was ultimately refunded in full from escrow. Great job, Chrono24! I've since bought another IWC Mark XVII from a seller on Chrono24.

Buyer's comment:

Dealer lied to me twice about the shipping - telling me twice the watch had shipped when he knew it did not ( proof with FedEx scans , and I was in touch with FedEx multiple times) - which means he doesn't actually have the watches in his possession that he's selling . There was no reason to do that - could have just been honest , and I still would have bought the watch . When I asked him the 2nd time about the shipment , he did not respond until I told him I would cancel the sale . I will be having the watch sent to an authorized dealer here on the east coast to verify it's authenticity . You don't BS people when selling a $4K watch , or anything for that matter .
