Buyer's comment:

Updated Review: I left a review and the seller did not agree with what I wrote so this is the revised version. Unfortunately, the seller and I don't agree on this matter and it looks like the seller will not take responsibility for what happened. I purchased a brand new Longines BigEye Avigation watch from the seller. This watch comes in a rather large box; the large grey Longines cardboard outer box contains a hard case, which includes the watch and a coffee table book about Longines Watches and it is quite heavy. Despite the weight, the seller didn't properly pad the package. The product box was placed and delivered in a roughly same size box with a single thin layer of bubble wrap, which barely covered the entire package. The outer cardboard box was damaged and the lower compartment that held the instruction manual was completely destroyed. Luckly, the hard case was ok but when I opened the box the watch was out of place. I understand the watch is below market price but you don't want to receive a brand new purchase like this. I am re-writing this review because of the seller's unprofessional messages after I posted the original review. I should have said "the seller didn't properly pad the box" instead of "the seller didn't place the box with padding or bubble wrap". However, the fact of the matter is the brand new watch was delivered with a damaged box. I notified him the day I received the item but all the answer I got was "We will look into this. Thanks for the heads-up." And a few days passed and I wrote the original review. Today, I heard back from him. He was not happy that I left a negative review. He corrected me that I didn't describe the package correctly, which is true that there is a thin single layer of bubble wrap as I corrected above, but I told him the fact that he didn't do anything about the damaged box. The conversation didn't progress well, now, he wanted me to return the watch so that he can refund me with the deduction of 30% restocking fee. I am contacting Chrono24 for this incident. Original Review: The package was damaged badly, UPS probably throw the box several times, and unfortunately, the seller didn't place the box with padding or bubble wrap. As a result, the hardboard paper box was damaged in corners and inside compartment containing the watch manual. The hard case inside was undamaged but the watch on the pillow was out of place when I opened it. I purchased this watch below market price and if this is the cost of it, I might rethink in the future. Otherwise, they processed the order really quickly and always responded promptly.

Dealer's comment:

We are so very sorry UPS damaged the box during transit ! The box had bubble-wrap all around the entire inside, in between the outer box and inner box. Why you are saying it did not is puzzling to us ? It did.. It seems this may have seen extra ordinary damage during transit. This is obviously a rare case as we just about never see damage on our shipments. We have settled the matter privately with the client and are on good terms.
