I wrote to the dealer to apologise that I was not being able to pay because my online bank was having IT issues, and I would pay immediately as the bank was online again. Note that the Chrono24 time limit for the payment was not expired yet. So instead of helping me with my problem I received a mail from the seller "Never mind the watch has been sold". Which means the watch was sold outside Chrono24 before I received any notification that my purchase had been cancelled. Very very disappointing.

After a week, the purchase request expires, unfortunately you didn't email us about your IT problem earlier than before and the watch was then sold through Chrono24!

Despite early indications that this was a fair and attentive seller I have to report this misleading listing. The description of the Omega pocket watch gave no mention whatsoever as to the unsightly split in the case middle and no photos were taken to highlight the dents to the case or represent this damage either. The dial has several chips missing from the outer diameter, another fact unmentioned and un-photographed. Upon contacting the seller I was told "too bad the Omega pocket watch is not up to Your satisfaction. Please note that it is over 100 years old!" - I hardly think the age of the watch mitigates an inaccurate representation of something I paid many hundreds of pounds for. The seller refused to compromise when I suggested I'd be happy do the repair myself (I am a horologist my profession) but would need the price to be reduced to cover my time. The response was "I cannot give more discount than already done", as though I was negotiating over a perfect watch that I had yet pay for! Please note that as soon as the parcel arrived I registered this information on the website and money has left my account. The seller has not commented on the fact I would have to pay for return delivery, and has not replied to my last message. I must also note that there has been no attempt to recognise the omissions to the product description and no apology for misleading their customer. In short, the sellers attitude towards doing business leaves a lot to be desired.

The watch is ok. Came with no paper work as described only a warranty card which had no details on it (serial number etc). So in my view no paperwork, but it was advertised and sold with original box & papers. I feel that I was very mislead and I have had to pay to have the watch authenticated.
