Seller accepted my payment before letting me know that the watch was no longer available. Then after I purchased another watch from a different dealer, the seller claimed they made a mistake and the watch was in fact available and would be shipped to me.

Watch arrived "brand new" but running way out of spec on a timegrapher (which the dealer forced me to purchase at my own expense to prove the watch was running fast). Upon receiving proof the watch was broken, the dealer only offered me the option to ship the watch back to Japan at my own expense (incurring customs fees for the returned watch in the process) and would not work with me to have the watch serviced and returned back to spec. Essentially, they knew it was cheaper for me to pay for the service myself and keep the watch than it would have been to ship it back to them...so they engaged in a game of "chicken" that they ultimately won. Chrono24 had to step in and give me funds to have the watch serviced. Poor showing on such a meaningful transaction. On top of this, the dealer was committed to only sending one message per day, effectively running out the clock on my timer to have something done about this. Very satisfied with how Chrono24 picked up the slack for this dealer but I will not be working with this dealer again.

Also, regarding the partial refund, we are sorry that you are disappointed with our services, however, we, unfortunately, it is difficult for us to offer a partial refund for the reasons stated above. However, we did not intend to impair your sentiments by any means. Regarding the return shipping fees, according to Chrono24's policy, normally the return shipping fees shall be borned by the buyer however, please note that we will shoulder the shipping fees as the watch may have an initial defects as we mentioned in our correspondence. The dealer chose Japan post shipping that had no tracking for the package when it arrived in the US. The dealer did not provide the correct documentation for customs so the watch was held for 3 months. After a few weeks of not receiving the watch I contacted the dealer and they would respond by giving me phone numbers for customs and postal service agents that I had to call but could not get access to any information because I was not the sender. When asking for a refund the dealer kept on extending the deadline hoping the watch would clear customs. I got in contact with Chrono24 for a refund and was refunded 3 months after the order was placed. The watch was never returned to the dealer or arrived to me. Worst purchasing experience on Chrono24 and the staff was very little help.

We have many experience of shipping via EMS to the US and as for EMS, a tracking nubmer is provided and is able to track with the same number in the US. In addition, as for the documents, we provided the same required documents we always prepare for every shipping we handle. As for this matter, we contacted Japan Post for investigation, however, no matter how hard we tried to solve this issue, as the package has already left Japan, unfortunately we (including Japan Post) had no control of the investigation. Therefore this leads to the result to our solution to kindly ask you to contact the customs and postal service agents on your end to receive the package. We sincerely understand that this issue has caused you great stress and grief. However we will truly appreciate if you could kindly understand our effort regarding this matter. We also contacted USPS/the customs office in Chicago for interantional investigation, and they are still working on the search of the watch. To improve our service, we have decided to use DHL and Fedex for our future orders. Thank you again for you honest feedback and as a professional, we promise to propose you the best service if you could give us another chance to assist you again in the future.

After a very long search for a very specific Seamaster, last Saturday morning I was thrilled to find one available from a trusted seller on Chrono24, at a fair price, with box and papers. Having never purchased from C24 there was a moment of hesitation, but shortly thereafter I clicked the 'BUY' button expressing my intent to purchase the watch at the asking price. Later that day the seller, Gallery Rare Ltd., contacted me with a few perplexing statements, one of which was in direct conflict with C24’s advertised buyer protection policy. When they reopened on Monday morning I reviewed and received assurances from C24 team members and entered my cc info to complete my transaction, but Gallery Rare had already sold the watch to someone else.

3 days ago the selling price was agreed by the seller, payment has been made and acklnoledge and the following day Gallery Rare LTD has cancelled the sale ( no longer in stock !!!) . Until today no refund on my credit card.

I purchased the watch and was sent a counter offer. I then paid for the watch and was then sent an email indicating they had sold it to another buyer. They managed to take the credit card payment and I have to wait up to 7 days for that to be returned

first thing I didn’t like is seller forcing fedex shipping at more expensive rate claiming that DHL is not secure enough (which is ridiculous). After I confirmed my order seller was quick to note that if I don’t pay in 48h my order will be cancelled and watch sold to someone else. I did place payment instructions immediately to chrono24 escrow account. After one day seller messaged me that they don’t actually have the watch from the pictures but a different color option one. I didn’t like that one so I asked them if they can procure the correct one within 2 weeks or so. That was not gonna happen. At this point I have incurred exchange rate and transfer costs and all seller had to say to me is that they are sorry about that and that they will be more careful in the future - no compensation for me because of the mistake they made. Professional seller, yeah right
