At that time, Breitling, Heuer-Leonidas, Hamilton/Büren and Dubois Dépraz joined forces to develop the first automatic chronograph. In March 1969, they presented the Calibre 11 "Chrono-Matic", in which a decentralized micro-rotor provided the winding mechanism. At the same time as Zenith (el-Primero), they wrote watchmaking history. Caliber 14 is based on calibers 12 and 11, but has a 24-hour display and a correspondingly different hand ratio. Like caliber 12, it also oscillates slightly faster at 21,600 beats than the original caliber 11 with 19,800 beats.
