This is a like-new, vintage c. 1940's stainless steel Breitling 734 triple register chronograph. It has a leather strap with a stainless steel tang buckle, and an acrylic crystal. There is a pull out winding crown, rectangular chronograph pushbuttons, and solid stainless steel case back engraved with reference number 734 and the serial number. The inside of the case back is engine turned. The 35.5mm diameter solid three-body case and downturned lugs are brushed. The original silver dial has painted Arabic numeral hour markers around a black 60-minute/one-fifth second scale with Arabic numerals every five minutes, blued baton hands, and a center sweep chronograph second hand. There are three recessed silver subsidiary dials, including a running seconds register at the 9 o'clock position, a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 6 o'clock, and there is a 30-minute chronograph dial at 3 o'clock.
This Breitling 734 has a manual wind movement. It's nickel-finished and is constructed with 17 jewels, an Incabloc shock absorber device, straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance.
