Description

This stunning 36mm (excluding crown) is a rare all stainless steel watch proof chronograph dating from the late 1940’s/ early 1950’s. These Bovet cased watches are not to be confused with other chronographs of the period, they are of the high quality.
This example is all original and in stunning condition, the case is superb and unrestored and hasn’t been refinished, it has ‘Spillman’ style lugs and wears extremely well. The watch is complimented by its original Venus 170 movement, which has been fully overhauled. The watch also benefits from its original and stunning two tone black and khaki green dial, which is in simply beautiful condition. The original radium markers do not have a resuidal glow by respnd well to ultra violet light and have been tested with a Geiger counter.
A truly wonderful military chronograph and a very rare piece, with period chronographs rising rapidly in value these waterproof pieces are a sure fire investment alongside being a great daily watch with ultimate style.
