The Audemars Piguet Millenary "MC12" Tourbillon watch (ref. 26069PT.OO.D028CR.01) features a mechanical manual winding movement with an extraordinary 237-hour power reserve; tourbillon; chronograph; carbon mainplate; eloxed aluminum bridges; and sapphire-crystal, transparent case back. The Audemars Piguet Millenary MC12's exquisite tourbillon movement is encased in a 47 x 42mm, platinum case on a blue crocodile strap with an Audemars Piguet, platinum deployant clasp.

The Audemars Piguet Millenary shows that even as venerated a classical watchmaking house as Audemars Piguet can break new ground with a unique and distinctive design. The Audemars Piguet Millenary departs from the traditional round case, instead offering an oval form inspired by the Roman Coliseum's architecture.

Imagine if you will wearing a piece of technological wizardry on your wrist designed after the limited edition MC12 Maserati sports car. A work of art built for only 150 lucky individuals, the Audemars Piguet Millenary MC12 Tourbillon Chronograph and the car are limited editions.

The tourbillion chronograph offers a platinum case protected by a sapphire scratch-resistant crystal with self-winding movement. Every piece of this watch is made by hand. With a 237 hour power reserve and indication you will always be in the know about your battery life.

The off-center skeletonized dial allows a view deep into the inner workings of this masterpiece. The strap is made from blue crocodile offset by white stitching.

Audemars Piguet Caliber 2884 contains 30 jewels, 336 parts and 21,600vph. The chronograph has a 30 minute carbon totalizer at 12 o'clock. You will find the sweep center seconds, chrono pushers in the 10 and 2 o'clock positions.

This watch measures in at 47.0mm with a transparent back to admire it from both sides. With a fixed bezel it is also water resistant to 20 meters or 65 feet making it suitable for any Spring shower, taking a dip or light diving should the mood strike you.

A collaboration between Audemars Piguet and famed carbuilder Maserati, this stunning, highly complicated watch reinterprets classical watchmaking specialities with new and exciting technology.

The appearance of the Audemars Piguet Millenary MC12 Tourbillon Chronograph watch is extremely distinctive, and gives hint to the remarkable know-how embodied in this timepiece's creation. The characteristic oval Millenary watch case measures an impressive 47mm in diameter, and is crafted from platinum. The beautiful dial captures an impressive futuristic appearance with its skeletonized center section, which reveals some of the impressive architecture of this world premiere Audemars Piguet handwound movement, the 2884 Caliber. The off-centered dial frame, showcases a tachymetre, and the left side displays a scale for the power-reserve indication. Visible through the center of the dial are the twin mainspring barrels, which are made from white gold, and below this is the impressive one-minute tourbillon; completing a single revolution each minute as it bears the Gyromax-equipped balance wheel and the escapement, the tourbillon cage has been mounted across a distinctive blue bridge, made from Eloxed aluminum.

Audemars Piguet's use of such high-tech materials and treatments in this extraordinary tourbillon watch extends to every aspect of the movement. The large exhibition sapphire caseback, exposes the architecture of the chronograph mechanism. An appealing blend of classical watchmaking craft and cutting edge materials presents itself here; the stunning black mainplate of the watch is made from carbon, which Audemars Piguet has manufactured to extraordinary degree of precision, thanks to technologies in crafting carbon which the Manufacture has devoted themselves tirelessly to perfecting. Upon this background, the various structures of the chronograph are arranged--the steel parts, including the column wheel control finished to perfection according to traditional haute de gamme standards.

The framework of this beautiful chronograph mechanism also includes additional eloxed aluminum bridges, which echo the design of the tourbillon bridge on the dial side of the watch. I have to say from one watch enthusiast to another, this is definitely a watch that is understated and yet is simultaneously extremely rare an exotic. Many watch companies do not have the ability to create a watch of this caliber where one can appreciate it's mechanical composition as well as its aesthetic perfection. I have to say I give this watch a 10 out of a 10, and assure you that you will be extremely happy with the detail that Audemars Piguet offers on this magnificent masterpiece.
