Description

One of the rarer 14790's, this stainless steel Royal Oak by Audemars Piguet is a third series model, being produced from around 2000 to 2005. With only a handful being made for Ferrari and coming to market, believed to be as little as 10, this timepiece is an exceptional find.

Featuring the rarely seen Ferrari red dial, with a Tapisserie pattern and the date at 3 o'clock. The bezel features the iconic eight screws synonymous with Audemars Piguet. The stainless steel bracelet is equipped with a concealed AP folding clasp, also in stainless steel. Fitted with sapphire crystal and a calibre 2225 self-winding automatic movement.

The piece is in excellent condition having only been worn on a few occasions and remains unpolished. Comes complete with an Audemars Piguet box and undated papers.

Founded in 1875 by Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet, the still family-owned Audemars Piguet has grown to become one of the most highly regarded watch manufacturers in the world. The company pioneered many firsts in the world of horology, including the world's first, minute repeater in 1882, the first skeleton watch in 1934 and, what was then, the world's thinnest wristwatch in 1986.
