Description
A Rare Early Charles Frodsham 18ct yellow gold half hunter keyless lever minute repeater pocket watch, C1861.

Dial: The excellent white enamel dial with Roman Numerals and outer minute track. The dial signed Chas Frodsham and with the subsidiary seconds dial at nine o'clock which is unusual as most sub dials are at six o'clock. The original blued steel double spade hands for the aperture in the case.

Case: The 18ct Yellow gold half hunter case with enamel Roman numeral chapter ring to the front of the case. The plain case back and plain inner cuvette with the case English hallmarked for 1861. The Repeater slide located at the side of the case.

Movement: The beautiful 3/4 plate movement with Nicole Nielsen winding on the back plate and fully jewelled. Signed Charles Frodsham 84 The Strand London and numbered. The movement repeating the Hours Quarters and Minutes on gongs.

This watch is very rare to combine Nicole Nielson winding and having Minute repeating function. It would make an excellent addition to ones collection.
