Description |
A remarkable, rare gent's pocket watch
with hands moved by rotating glass discs A.S. & F. - Armand Schwob & Frère "Montre Mystérieuse" Brevete .S.G.D.G. date of manufacture approx. 1880 Mystérieuse These fascinating pocket watches were made in la Chaux de Fonds in about 1880. They have excentric glass dials with hands, which are installed on the glass. The "mystérieuse" phenomenon is because the hands are driven "invisible" together with the glass. Though, the glasses are interlocked outside and are driven by a very small train, which is in the upper part of the case. The case is glazed on both sides, so this is the effect of the validity of this mechanic. Details to the watch Dial excentric glass dial silver Roman numerals gold outer five-minute divisions blued Spade hands very good condition Movement curved movement frosted gilt cylinder escapement polished screws three-arm balance ruby endstone on balance the movement is fully functional and is in a very good working condition Case silver finely engraved smooth band glazed on both sides diameter approx. 54mm without pendant pusher for opening the front side very good condition with slightly age traces of use The watch is fully functional, is running very well and is in a very good total condition. //////////////////////GERMAN DESCRIPTION///////////////// Außergewöhnliche, seltene Herrentaschenuhr mit Zeigerantrieb über rotierende Glasscheiben A.S.
