Zenith is introducing a new Pilot Type 20 GMT – TRIBUTE TO THE ROLLING STONES to celebrate the rock stars of the legendary band and its America Latina Olé Tour 2016.

The exclusive Pilot Type 20 GMT – TRIBUTE TO THE ROLLING STONES displays all the distinctive identity codes of Zenith aviator watches, including a broad ratcheted crown enabling easy adjustment with pilot’s gloves, as well as stylised hours and minutes hands tipped with Superluminova for nocturnal visibility and sweeping over large impeccably legible numerals. This model is thus entirely in tune with the Zenith DNA.

This stunning composition features black ruthenium-plated hands as well as a special dial matt black adorned with the Rolling Stones tongue at 3 o’clock. The famous logo is also picked up on the back of the 48 mm-diameter case in DLC-coated titanium, alongside the inscription: “The Rolling Stones Edition”. The model is powered by the Elite movement and teamed with a wristband-type leather strap featuring a protective rubber lining and secured by a pin buckle in black DLC-coated stainless steel. This special edition naturally deserved a dedicated presentation box bearing the rock band’s handwritten logo along with the Zenith name and “guiding star”, as well as a lid bearing the red tongue motif both on top and on the leather interior.

Zenith has quickly built up its current Pilot collection of watches after starting with only one provocative 57.5mm model and equipped each watch with an automatic in-house movement. Given that Zenith owns the trademark for “pilot,” you will only see “pilot” on a Zenith dial, lending serious stature to their pilot collection.

The GMT Type 20 nicely balances the oversized pilot watch expectation with a very wearable wrist presence. Yes, the watch is big, but it wears nicely without being cumbersome, and no one would mistake it for a pocket watch on a strap.

Its appeal is undeniable and at only 100 pieces you can count yourself very lucky if you manage to spot this in time. This piece is new and comes with all its guarantees and pertaining documentation.
