BAUME & MERCIER CHRONOGRAPH ROSE GOLD PLATE 38mm Circa: 1952. Fine and rare. Featured is the original dial on this early Chronograph. Also, the fancy Bompbay style curved down lug design add a lot of unusual style. This unusually large (38mm in diameter) is all original and very much like new but old stock. baume & Mercier used the Swiss chronograph movement Caliber 48 Landeron and is marked in the movement. The single function chronograph is fully functional and is clean, running and also accurate. Very nice and especially collectible in this ver beautiful combination.
THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: Silver satin with rose registeres and red indication hands. Gold pointer time indication with Radium filled outline Arabic figures. Extremely rare original bright contrast dial.
MOVEMENT: 3/4 Plate Nickel, pendent set and button activation and return single function chronograph. Marked: "L 48", and "Baume & Mercier/ Seventeen (17) Jewels". Excellent original condition and original to the case.
CASE: Sanp back steel back with rose gold plate frame and lugs. This original mint condition case has unusually fancy turn down lug design and adds a lot of style. The strap is leather with a crocidile pattern in Burgundy color, which compliments the rose color of the case.
