Very early in it's inception, the TUDOR PRINCE OYSTER DATE had a very early success, due in most part to the then newly evolved ETA 2824-1 series of movements. The construction of this movement, and the adaptation of it's Oyster Date models transformed the younger sibling of the Rolex family, to turn a few heads and produce ubiquitous watches for distribution all over the world. The OYSTER DATE owes it's case work to Rolex, and the ETA 2824-1 that it houses inside. A successful partnership that has endured since the 1960's till present day.
We couldn't bring ourself to let this one go, it was beat up, tarnished and battered. But restore it we did, as found. A full service has taken shape, and the movement is flawlessly working with a wonderful +./- 4-6 seconds per day differential. The case has had many a good day, but still came out a very clean looking one now, the yellow gold bezel has had no polishing, and it's fluted shape till today retains it's distinct diamond cut shape. The watch has had a brand new authentic glass #143 - the case had previous water ingress, but has been looked after and re-sealed. Water resistance is a conscientious issue, and we adhere to these principles by doing a very honest job of protecting the watch, and it's later use in time, by re-creating the suitable purpose of water resistance by way of service, parts, and the treatment of the case works. In every respect, it is going to endure, and be a joy to be worn. A real PRINCE OYSTER DATE treatise.
TUDOR PRINCE OYSTER DATES are a great everyday watch.

Size guide for wristbands

1 | Lug width

The lug width is the width of the strap at the end that is attached to the watch. This is the interior distance between the two lugs (horn-like protrusions) on the watch casing. The strap will fit your watch only if the lug width of the watch is the same width as the strap.

2 | Buckle width

The buckle width is the width of the strap at the buckle end. If you want to keep your watch’s original buckle and replace only the strap, the width of the original buckle must be identical to the strap width. For watches with folding clasps, please choose a strap specially made for your particular clasp.

3 | Strap length

The strap length is the combined length of the short strap side 3A (without buckle) and the long strap side 3B. For metal straps, the length of the strap including the clasp is measured in the closed position.

4 | Strap thickness

Strap thickness is the height of the strap. Many leather straps thin out towards the buckle end, or “taper”. If you want to keep your watch’s original buckle and replace only the strap, the strap thickness must match the height of the original buckle. For watches with folding clasps, please choose a strap specially made for your particular clasp.
