Security notes

Please keep in mind that a sellers identity (especially that of private sellers) is not checked by chrono24.com.

Due to the increase in fraud-attempts during the last months please note the following security advice:

• Please be careful in case the seller asks you to pay via "anonymous" payment methods such as "Western Union".
  
  
• Watch out for spoofed escrow-sites (sites or emails that look like Royalmail, DHL or TNT but are not the real deal)
  
  
• Be careful with sellers using "free" E-Mail accounts such as yahoo.com, pot.com, aol.com
  
  
• Always check the phone-number given in the ad. Is it working? Is it forwarded to mobile phone? Is the person on the other end "trustworthy"?
  
  
• Should you receive emails sent by "info@contact-chrono24.com" or "info@info-chrono24.com" claiming to verify the identity of the seller: this is a fake. Chrono24.com does not verify and/or guarantee sellers identities.
  
  
• If an offer sounds too good to be true: It might be not true...
