A combination of timeless design, craftsmanship and a predilection for astronomy are the trademarks of his remarkable work. After becoming a member of the Swiss founded Academy "Horlogeres des Createurs Independants", he presented his astronomical table clock as his masterpiece at the world´s biggest Horological Fair at Basle 1990. There he established his name among the top known clockmakers.The successor to this table clock was the "Pendule Variable", with which he won a gold medal for the most innovative design at Basle 1992. He now concentrates exclusively on the development of high quality watches.To ensure top quality, Christiaan van der Klaauw manufactures his designs in a dust free environment in his comprehensively equipped workshop.

Venus 2006 De Venus 2006 is in het voorjaar van 2006 op Basel gepresenteerd. Op de Venus kunt u de omloop van de aarde en Venus om de zon-, en de omloop van de maan om de aarde zien draaien. Tevens kunt op op de buitenring de dierenriem indicatie aflezen. De wijzerplaat is gemaakt van een geslepen steen, "gold-flush" waardoor het net lijkt of u zelf in de melkweg staat, echt prachtig, dit is alleen niet goed vast te leggen op een foto, daarvoor zou u echt even langs moeten komen om dit horloge in het echt te bewonderen.
