Just Beautiful 1958 Solid 9ct Gold Mid-Size Rolex Precision Sub-Second Ladies Vintage WatchJust Beautiful 1958 Solid 9ct Gold Mid-Size Rolex Precision Sub-Second Ladies Vintage Watch

The Overview
This is a stunning example of the midsize Rolex Precision in solid 9ct gold from 1958. The solid 9ct gold case is in exceptional condition with only the most minor signs of wear. The original ivory/cream Rolex signed dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standard and is simply beautiful. The applied gold arrow head/heart hour batons along with the original gold hands and sub-second dial (as against centre second) provide the softest contrast to the dial and are perfectly framed by the gleaming gold bezel. The very high grade Rolex signed manual wind movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. To complete this watch we’ve added a new, brown calf skin strap with gold plated buckle.
My asking price is below the value for a watch of this condition and rarity, particularly with the continual rise in value of vintage watches of this high quality. In view of the high grade Swiss movement, I will include a three month written guarantee on the movement, which is long enough for you to assess the working order.

The Case
The solid 9ct gold case is in exceptional condition with only the most minor signs of wear. The case measures 31 mm across, excluding the winding crown and 37 mm long including the lugs. The inside case is signed ‘Dennison Made in England for Rolex’, ‘ALD (these are the initials for Dennison who made cases for most of the major Swiss brands)’ and the case numbers are ‘12868 & 897683’. The Assay Office is the Anchor of Birmingham and date reference is ‘j’ dating it to 1958.

The Dial
The original ivory/cream Rolex signed dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standard and is simply beautiful. The applied gold arrow head/heart hour batons along with the original gold hands and sub-second dial (as against centre second) provide the softest contrast to the dial and are perfectly framed by the gleaming gold bezel. The dial is signed ‘Rolex’, ‘Precision’ and ‘Swiss’.

The Movement
The very high grade Rolex signed manual wind movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. The movement is signed ‘Montres Rolex SA Geneva Swiss’, ‘Seventeen 17 Jewels’ and the movement number is ‘63938’.

The Strap
To complete this watch we’ve added a new, brown calf skin strap with gold plated buckle.

The Conclusion
This is a rare and highly collectable vintage watch from one of horology’s most famous names and will, if history is any judge, provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to treasure and enjoy. I will provide an insurance valuation in excess of my asking price. Please appreciate the difficulty of photographing this piece, it looks even better in real life. Subject to your location I’ll happily show the watch. Please ring me if you have any questions: Chris 07917 100927
