This is a fabulous all stainless steel SUVERAN [Swedish army officer's watch] the military marking seems to have rubbed off totally. However, the interesting thing from this watch is an all stainless steel case, case back and the indestructible OMEGA 30T2 movement caliber. The model reference is 2383-6 and circa is 1946- the movement dates from there. The serial # 10,686,998 can be dated from the legendary Chuck Maddox's Omega archives pages.
We have had it running for several days, the timing is amazing. The dial has begun to show some signs of an aged look, this is known as ''Tropical'' in some collector circles. It's difficult to imagine what colors will show up in later years, this is how it looks like right now.
The Omega signed crown was difficult to obtain as it is an authentic period crown, nevertheless it is here and installed correctly. It works perfectly as it should.
There was a period right after WW II when stainless steel was so hard to obtain - so in this instance, no expense must have been spared at this time to procure the surgical quality of stainless steel for this wonderful time piece.
We do not ship to ASIA-AFRICA or S.AMERICA please see my GTC page for further details on how to buy this wonderful time piece.
