Very nice condition on this late 1940's Omega wristwatch, with a rarely seen reference number of 2489 5. This one features the Cal. 265 movement - the direct replacement to the iconic Omega 30T2 movement. This high grade, manual wind movement is one of the first series Omega began plating in their signature rose/copper color.

This in-house movement features 15 jewels and shockproofing. Take a look at the photos - it looks very well preserved! The stainless steel case measures 35.8mm across without the crown and 42.8mm from lug to lug. At around 70 years old, the high polish case is in very good condition. Not perfect, but certainly excellent! Also included is the original signed stainless steel Omega crown. The original finish silver dial shows its fair share of age, though the finish is all original. We thought it was best to leave it that way. Silver markers and matching stainless steel hands top it all off.

The watch comes fully serviced including a new mainspring and a new acrylic crystal. It is running as it should and keeping very good time. It comes ready to wear on a matte black Italian calfskin strap. A nice example of a rarely seen Omega!
